Reviews
The food was delicious in overall.
The mango rice pudding was good. The grilled fish was okay.
The coconut rice, salmon crackers, pork belly and duck curry was delicious.
The staff are friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was good.
Coconine is a true culinary gem! The authentic Thai flavors in their dishes are masterfully crafted and bursting with deliciousness. From the warm smiles of the staff to the cozy ambiance, everything about Coconine is inviting and delightful. The service is exceptional, and the traditional Thai decor adds to the enchanting atmosphere. Safety measures are also taken seriously. Coconine is a must-visit for any Thai food lover. Can't wait to go back!
Loved dining here. Each meal was a surprisingly large quantity of food, but there was no compromise on flavour. Vegan, vegetarian and normal dishes were all tasty and well seasoned. Drinks menu was reasonable. The service was reasonable and prompt, but lacking a personal touch. All in all, a great experience and I'll be back for sure!
Such an amazing authentic Thai restaurant with authentic modern fusion. We got so many different dishes including a Tom Yum soup and also pad see ew. They have also very delicious cocktails on the menu and also a very lovely traditional Thai milk tea. Very lovely atmosphere and the view of the lake is great
Great Thai food in a great setting. The location is brilliant - right at the Kingston foreshore, inside and outside sitting areas - great opportunity to take a walk on the promenade along the lake before or after the meals (or both!)
Good selection of southern Thai food, fresh ingredients and super-fast friendly service. We did not book in advance and popped in to see if we could get a table, and the waiter helped us find an available table for 1.5 hours until the next booking.
Recommend signature dishes such as fish and seafood Tom Yam soup noodles. Coconut ice cream was a particular highlight - the scoops had a different texture which was a pleasant surprise.
We tried here for a Friday night dinner and we weren’t disappointed. We started with the tempura eggplant, and although it wasn’t the traditional tempura batter I’m accustomed too, it was still tasty. For mains we had the drunken noodles with tofu, just enough spice 🌶️ and the PRA RAM LONG SONG with tofu which was also great. Two glasses of wine plus a side of rice all for $74!
Solid Thai food with amazing staff!! Highlights of our meal was definitively the roast duck curry (not pictured) and tofu pad see ew!! ᵕ̈ I appreciated the large pieces of tofu instead of the usual small slices that get lost in the noodles. The soft shell crab was underwhelming in comparison to the other flavours that were vibrant and punchy. But overall a good meal ♡
We went for lunch. The menu is vast with a great choice of Entrees and mains and drinks to match. The food was served fairly quickly, considering how busy it was. It was fresh and delicious and reasonably priced. There were 2 of us, and we shared an Entree and 3 mains. Plus 2 glasses of Margret River, Riesling and all for under $140.
The staff were charismatic and helpful.
I highly recommend and will be back!
Thanks much. Keep up the amazing work
